Baked Pot Stickers

I wanted to steam these homemade pot stickers, but I don’t have the right steaming contraptions – so I did the next best thing – baked them. They don’t have the texture of a egg roll because they are not deep fried but they were slightly crunchy and crisp and yummy.

1 Package of Wonton Wrappers



Red and Yellow Peppers

Fresh Ginger


Fresh Mint

Protein, I used seitan – chicken is an option

Chop up the mushroom, seitan, broccoli, pepper and ginger. Season however you like. Precook the mixture in a wok to release the water from the veggies and set aside to cool. You can pretty much add whatever you want to this mixture, meat, spices, other veggies.

Make a dipping sauce out of the tamari and chopped mint.

You’ll need a package of wonton wrappers. They can be found in the refrigerated section of the grocery store. Lay out 8 on a clean surface, fill with small amount of filling, wet the edges, fold, and shape however you like. Repeat until you have used up your mixture. They stick together wherever you wet them. I folded in half and then pinched the middle in the opposite direction.

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
